Professional Bio

Casey Tilley is a dual-title PhD candidate in Comparative Literature and Asian Studies. Their dissertation, titled "Workers' Ecopoetics as Development Discourses", examines contemporary dagong shige (migrant workers' poetry) from China and literatura de cordel (pamphlet poetry) from Brazil as interventions in local and transnational imaginations of the relationships between the nonhuman environment, industry, and labor.
