Faculty Search Launched for Advanced Assistant/Associate Professor of Comparative Literature

The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Comparative Literature, at the rank of advanced assistant or associate professor, with a specialization in globalization or global studies. Area of interest and geographical field are open, though we have a strong preference for candidates working outside East Asia. Candidates should have a significant research record and be able to contribute to the department’s Ph.D. program in Comparative Literature. We are also looking for candidates who can contribute significantly to the department’s Global Studies undergraduate major, which introduces students to humanistic and social scientific methods for approaching globalization and global problems, including human rights, wealth and inequality, culture and identity, health and environment, and global conflict. Starting date: August 2015 preferred. Requirements: Ph.D. in Comparative Literature or related field; appropriate teaching experience; relevant record of publication and ongoing research potential.
