2023 Marathon Read

Congratulations to the organizers, readers, other performers, audience members, university and community dignitaries, and the 16 academic units who joined our SGLLC in sponsoring the very successful Marathon Read event held in a tent on Pattee Mall on Thursday, September 21. This project celebrated the shared appreciation of literature (and music) nonstop from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., on the theme “Arrivals.”  A special thanks to this year’s SGLLC organizing team: Olivia Beveridge (SGLLC staff), Forrest Finch (Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures), and Romi Roman Cabrera (Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese). The SGLLC will next organize the annual Marathon Read in Fall 2025 (for hosting, we rotate with English).
