Professional Bio
Chris began her career at Penn State as a faculty member in the department of English, directly after earning her master’s degree. From 2015-2023, she worked as a Lecturer and then an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University Park campus, serving a diverse population of undergraduate students. In January of 2024, Chris transitioned to her current role as an Academic Adviser for the Department of Economics, where she serves a bright and engaged population of scholars. She is especially passionate about helping student groups who are marginalized, ostracized, or finding their way, and her office is always a safe space for those seeking refuge or advice. When she’s not at work, Chris can be found snuggling her rescue dogs, reading, writing, building legos, exercizing, getting tattooed, or tending to her gardens.
