Professional Bio
Reiko Tachibana is an associate Professor of Comparative Literature, Japanese, and Asian Studies. Her research interests include postwar Japanese literature, transnational literature of Japan and Japanese diaspora, and East-West Relations. Author of Narrative as Counter-Memory: A Half-Century of Postwar Writing in Germany and Japan, she has published articles on comparisons of the postwar writers as well as transnational writers of Japan such as Oba Minako and Yoko Tawada. She is currently working on a project on Japanese diaspora/diaspora writers in Japan such as Levy Hideo and Yi Yang.
