Duncan is a second year Ph.D. student who specializes in transnational German literature, focusing in particular on German-Turkish literary relations. Other interests include contemporary Latinx and Anglophone literature. He has published on Turkish-Albanian literary encounters as well as English poetry. His article “Rehearsing Better Worlds: Poetry as A Way of Happening in the Works of Tomlinson and MacDiarmid” appeared in Philosophy and Literature. Currently Duncan is researching the intersection of spatial and temporal scaling in the work of Orhan Pamuk and Terézia Mora.
