I am a PhD candidate studying modern and contemporary poetry and poetics. In my research, I focus on aesthetic and scientific relations between the collection, organization, and representation of information and data, and how we might read and interpret poetry as a practice of information. The languages I work in include English and German, as well as Chinese, Russian, and Latin. I have published translations of Chinese poetry into German in various print and online venues and in book form. I have taught German 001, 002, and 003, and am currently serving as graduate representative on the ACLA advisory board.
