I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature, with a minor in Latin American Studies. My work currently centers on Brazilian novelist, Jorge Amado (1912-2001) and the processes of publication and dissemination of his work between World War I and World War II. At Penn State, I have taught several courses in comparative literature (online and in-class) and all levels of Portuguese language. Moreover, I have served as the editorial assistant for the Comparative Literature Studies journal and the Digital Humanities graduate assistant for the Arts & Humanities libraries.
