I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Comparative Literature program with a minor in Latin American Studies. Currently, I am researching post-Boom Latin American literary movements, focusing on the impact of neoliberal policies on publication markets, community creation and circulation of ideas and methods. I also study diasporic narratives, translation, and Southern Cone film.
I earned a master’s degree in print journalism from Columbia University and was a former reporter for The Miami Herald. I have served as editorial assistant for Comparative Literature Studies. Among the courses I have taught at Penn State are Introductory/Intermediate Spanish, Human Rights and World Literature, and Literatures of the Americas.
