Robert Lima


Awards

Robert Lima was a Senior Fulbright Fellow, a Cintas Foundation Fellow, served four years on the executive board of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and was in the initial group of speakers of its Invitational Humanist Program. He was elected to membership in Phi Kappa Phi (delivering the initiation lecture), The Poetry Society of America, and International PEN. Among directories, his listings appear in Contemporary Authors, Who's Who Among Hispanic Americans, International Authors and Writers Who's Who, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. He has been elected Academician of the Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española, and is a Corresponding Member of Spain's Real Academia Española. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Medallion of Villanova University. In 2003, he was knighted by King Juan Carlos I of Spain as Knight Commander in the Order of Queen Isabel of Spain.
